Deglet Nour Demeter organic dates, pitted

The Deglet Nour is a small date with an elongated shape, golden color and a nutty, honey-like taste. Translated, her name means something like "finger of light". Our Deglet Nour dates come from a Demeter farm and grow there according to this particularly sustainable, holistic form of land management, which goes beyond the requirements of the EU organic regulation. Like all of our dates, Deglet Nour are untreated and natural. We have them both pitted and on the panicle. Often times the somewhat firmer or drier fruits are used for pitting, so that they retain their shape even after the core has been loosened. Even if less juicy, the pitted version is ideal for further processing in the kitchen. In muesli, for example, finely chopped Deglet Nour dates are the perfect addition to a powerful start to the day thanks to their high carbohydrate content!
