○ Latin name: Tilia cordata ○ Dosage: 220 mg per capsule Linden, also known as Tilia cordata, is a deciduous tree that grows mainly in Europe, Asia and North America. It is often cultivated for its wood, but also for its aromatic flowers and its high content of health-promoting nutrients. Sapwood is the layer under the bark of trees. It is the young part of the tree that is growing and developing. It is harvested in the spring when the sap rises in the tree, before the latter produces leaves. ֍ In the 18th century, linden sapwood was used as a natural dye to dye fabrics yellow. Artisans used freshly cut sapwood to achieve the most vibrant color. However, this use was quickly replaced by less expensive and easier to use synthetic dyes.
