○ Origin: Fish oil ○ Dosage: 500 mg per capsule including 90 mg of EPA and 60 mg of DHA. Omega-3s are polyunsaturated fatty acids essential for the functioning of the human body. They are called "omega-3" because of the position of their chemical double bond at the third position from the methyl end of the carbon chain. The main types of omega-3s are alpha-linolenic acids (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function.
