I am Matisse, creator of Nektar. It all started for me with a very specific problem: after meals, I suffered from digestive heaviness and severe fatigue. Looking for a natural solution, I turned to apple cider vinegar, which everyone was raving about. But to my surprise, I saw no effect.
This intrigued me. I then dug into the subject and discovered that most cider vinegars in supermarkets were filtered, pasteurized, and had nothing left alive. Real apple cider vinegar, rich in enzymes and good bacteria, had almost disappeared from the market.
That’s when I had a brainwave: what if I restored this product’s reputation? I then decided to go in search of a vinegar that was artisanal, living, organic and respectful of the terroir – but it was a real obstacle course! After many meetings, I finally found a producer in Normandy, passionate about traditional know-how.
This is how Nektar was born. My ambition with this brand is to offer an authentic, unfiltered, unpasteurized cider vinegar, made from organic apples and a natural fermentation process. A living, healthy product that is truly beneficial for digestion, blood sugar levels, and well-being.
