The idea for Margrets came up in 2018 in an Italian Air-BnB.
In the kitchen there was no classic washing-up liquid to be found. Instead we found a bottle with a spray head. When washing up, it was immediately noticeable that the dishes were quicker and easier to clean. The hob or the dining table could also be easily cleaned with this clever attachment. Fascinated by the idea, we provisionally filled conventional dishwashing liquid into spray bottles at home and started to gain experience.
When a new kitchen was installed, it was noticed that the colorful cleaning agents and washing-up liquid didn't go with the chic design of the new kitchen at all. In addition, the plastic bottles no longer look contemporary. The packaging and ingredients can hardly be combined with a sustainable lifestyle.
And that's how the idea of Margrets came about. Starting with the innovation of a detergent with a spray effect, we, two siblings from Tübingen, founded a company in 2021 with the mission of offering sustainable kitchen accessories in a stylish design.
