Karin Boye

Karin Boye is one of Sweden's most popular poets, but she is also known for her novels and short stories. Her most famous poem "Yes, it hurts when buds break..." is a classic at junior high and high school graduations, and the dystopian social depiction Kallocain (1940) is constantly finding new readers. Industrial designer Jan Landqvist is responsible for the idea and design of Novellix bookends. The bookends are made in Gnosjö in Småland and are made of cut and bent sheet steel that has been treated with a black, durable powder coating. The dimensions are 15x15 cm for the portraits and 10x15 cm for the base plate. Designer: Landqvist, Jan
