A family property since 1810, Château Cap Léon Veyrin originated from the merger of Château Cap Léon and the Veyrin estate. Cap comes from the word "head". In fact, the Cap Léon vineyard is located on the highest points of Listrac-Médoc, thus promoting natural drainage and ideal sunshine. Nathalie and Julien Meyre, the sixth generation of the family to manage this estate, perpetuate the tradition: predominance of Merlot, fining with egg whites, 12 months of aging in barrels, and hand-harvesting for both the younger and older vines, while also bringing their own dynamism to this renowned property.
Château Cap Léon Veyrin originated from the marriage of two sisters, owners of the Veyrin estate, to two brothers, owners of Château Cap Léon. Over the centuries, the château has remained in the Meyre family.
Today this famous cru bourgeois is managed by the 6th generation, heirs of the family, Meyre Nathalie and Julien.
It is natural that the work is done within the family, combining traditional methods and modern techniques, ensuring sustainability for future generations.
