Ubrique, a population of just 17,000 people is attached to a material like skin. We are proud to be a reference for national and international firms, we enjoy a privileged environment, surrounded by two natural parks: the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park and the Alcornocales Park, both have provided the necessary elements for the treatment of fur.
Ubrique means "land of springs", as it was called by the Arabs. The proximity to the Strait of Gibraltar causes great condensation due to the meeting between two seas, this water discharges when it hits the high peaks of the Sierra, it filters through the subsoil reaching Ubrique; Water in the area was always abundant, an essential element for tanning leather.
Another source is the Alcornocales park. Apart from the extraction of the cork, the "tannin" is also obtained, an organic substance that, together with water, has been used for centuries to tan the skin.
It was in this environment that Ubrique began in the world of tanning and manufacturing leather goods to this day.
In 2007 we partnered with Pepe in charge of a workshop inherited from his grandfather. The collaboration between craftsmanship and continuous innovation.
In this area our collections see the light, the proximity of a small town, its workshops, its people and the path to a job well done.
Art should be accessible to everyone, we try to make our work available in different articles, including art prints. We hope that our choice is to your liking, it is available in standard formats so that all kinds of frames can be used.
