The traditional Greek Health Tea"Kainari" is a kind of toner and heater hot beverage. Kainari is a local beverage produced with a special recipe only here at MYTILENE. It is a type of hot tonic and heating beverage whose recipe includes various spices (such as cinnamon etc). In essence, it is a deep-red tea type that includes many different herbs and spices, creating a burst of palate flavours andoffering stimulation, well-being and resistance to colds. Unique of its kind and a recipe that includes six different herbs and spices but remains hidden and spreads by word of mouth over the years. Preparation:In a cup of hot water add 1/4 tea spoon kainari, mix and add honey or sugar.You can also add a small amount of "Kainari" in every hot beverage for extra flavour.
