In 1972 two brothers Maurizio and Mariano Riccardi, who had already been operating in the field of selling and producing umbrellas for many years, decided to start their own business, so as to put their experience in the sector to good use. They chose Bergamo as their headquarters, a city at the center of important commercial traffic and it is here that the Silvia Umbrella Factory is still located today. The name Silvia is that of Mariano's wife and Roberto's mother. The small family business, specialized in retail and wholesale, has grown with a very specific aim: to satisfy the needs of the most demanding customers, for example by creating an umbrella upon their request, without neglecting those of those who lose an umbrella every time it rains, always guaranteeing a quality product.
Over the last fifteen years, interest has expanded into the field of umbrellas, gazebos, large custom-made covers and outdoor furniture.
