For 25 years, our partner Kaoka has been striving to create a transparent and sustainable value chain in the world of cocoa. 100% traceable, the chocolate comes from 4 South American countries: Ecuador, Peru, Sao Tome, Dominican Republic. It is directly from farmers who practice Organic Agriculture, Agroforestry and Fair Trade. 50 organic farming producer associations are united, representing around 5,000 producers. Kaoka teams support farmers on site to constantly improve their production techniques in harmony with the local ecosystem. Chocolate production is guaranteed 0 deforestation! • A supportive partnership with almond producers since 2004. With Agro Sourcing, a real approach to supporting producers is in place: agronomic techniques to produce in organic farming while respecting the environment, equipment with a shelling tool and sorting for more independence, renovation of aging orchards. Thanks to the support of Agro Sourcing, new cultivated varieties were introduced into the fields of the Pinoso valley, leading to an increase in biodiversity. The majority of almonds consumed in France come from California. Not ours! These almonds have full traceability back to the field (and it's not easy to find!). They are produced on human-scale farms in the Pinoso valley in Spain. In California, 10,000 to 15,000 m3 of water per HA are used in the production of almonds, which is equivalent to 1.7 to 2.5 liters of water PER ALMOND!
