The Sica Nat & Bio production workshop is located in Saint Féliu d'Avall in the Têt Valley in the heart of an apricot orchard on 2600m2 of covered space.   These fruits grow in the Plaine du Roussillon, located in an exceptional region making it possible to obtain tasty and refined local products. 

Roussillon is a privileged region between sea and mountains, sunny 300 days a year. 

It is particularly suitable for the production of organic fruits and vegetables. •Transformative producers. 

Sica Nat & Bio are, first of all, producers of fresh fruit and vegetables, bringing together around ten producers. 

To better promote all of their production and deal with hazards such as overproduction, or downgraded fruits or vegetables, Sica Nat & Bio decides to invest in a processing tool to produce juices, jams and compotes, over 10 years ago. We support these models which make it possible to provide the French territory with transformation tools, and offer better resilience of producers in the face of price fluctuations. •A joint roadmap between Omie and producers. 

Work has been initiated by producers to adapt and optimize their water consumption to actual reserves in the soil (installation of probes, drip irrigation). 

Omie, with the group's technician, has drawn up a 3-year roadmap to support them in this direction. 

This made it possible to organize and co-finance: - practical tests to study life in the soil - a diagnosis of the level of agroecological transition on the 2 pilot farms - around ten analyzes on the biological life in the soil of arborists - training by an external speaker on the link between soil life, plant cover and water management (storage, green water cycle) adapted to the territory of the Eastern Pyrenees (in a context of climate change, with rain increasingly rare in the region) This work will be continued in the field by the group's lead technician.
