Mandarin Bay - Ma Khaen of Laos

Mandarin berry belongs to the same family as Timut bay or Sansho bay. Its numbing sensation - typical of Zanthoxylum berries - is sweet and its mandarin scent is powerful. Tangy and refreshing, it also has subtle herbal notes. It goes wonderfully with oily fish, red meats, seafood, soups and soups; as well as desserts whether fruity or chocolate.
