All of our Gourmet Vanilla Beans are sourced from the Sepik Region of Papua New Guinea which is renown for producing some of the worlds best vanilla. Its all organically grown by small holder farmers who get above Fairtrade price for their vanilla. Gourmet Planifolia Vanilla beans are perfect in appearance, shiny straight beans, no split, no scar and very appealing to the eye. Normally reddish brown or dark brown to black in colour with a high vanillin content perfect for baking.
