
Millet is native to Asia and Africa where it takes the name of millet. A low-allergen, gluten-free cereal, it is the richest in vitamin A. It contains many minerals, some of which are rare and precious, such as manganese and zinc. Millet has a positive effect on cholesterol, it strengthens nails and hair and prevents the formation of kidney stones. Millet is a very digestible cereal and very appreciated for its pleasant flavor. Steamed pre-cooked whole millet flakes are very convenient and easy to use. They are eaten at breakfast, added to soups, in the dough to make vegetable pancakes, cakes and breads.
