Nutmeg is the seed of the nutmeg tree, a tropical tree. An essential spice, it flavors many of our sweet and savory dishes, such as gratin dauphinois. Recommendations for use: béchamel sauce, stuffing, gratins, vegetable puree, pastries. Goes well with both savory and sweet.
