Oryx Desert Salt products are all about the 100% pure, natural desert salt of the Kalahari.
This desert region is also home to the Dwyka rock formations, beneath which underground streams flow together to form an equally underground brine lake. To produce salt, the water is first pumped to the surface. Under the hot African sun, the salt then crystallizes within a few weeks and can be harvested.
Oryx Desert Salt contains all the important minerals and trace elements that occur naturally in salt, including magnesium, zinc and potassium. Made with no additives, no preservatives and no anti-caking agents, this salt is now popular with chefs from all over the world. The salt mills have a ceramic mechanism for a long service life.
