WWF special edition – organic chocolate chili, 60% cocoa

Our WWF special edition from the rainforest, for the rainforest! 

The special thing about this chocolate: The beans for the bars come exclusively from cooperatives from WWF project areas in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Because enjoyment and sustainability do not have to be mutually exclusive. 

The cooperatives grow cocoa in so-called chakras, i.e. forest gardens, together with numerous other useful and medicinal plants. 

In this way, the rainforest is preserved and does not have to give way to monoculture. 

This also offers another important advantage: cocoa farmers diversify their income by producing other products in addition to cocoa for their own consumption or the local market. The slightly spicy tone of the chili and the creamy tone of the cocoa are ideally matched and won the world silver medal in 2017 at the international Chocolate Awards. 

This bar is based on a chili pepper recipe used by the Mapuche people of southern Chile and is rich in vitamin A.
