WWF special edition – organic chocolate coffee, 60% cocoa

Our WWF special edition from the rainforest, for the rainforest! 

The special thing about this chocolate: The beans for the bars come exclusively from cooperatives from WWF project areas in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Because enjoyment and sustainability do not have to be mutually exclusive. 

The cooperatives grow cocoa in so-called chakras, i.e. forest gardens, together with numerous other useful and medicinal plants. 

In this way, the rainforest is preserved and does not have to give way to monoculture. 

This also offers another important advantage: cocoa farmers diversify their income by producing other products in addition to cocoa for their own consumption or the local market. The fine balance between the cocoa bean and the coffee bean is a delight not only for coffee drinkers. 

This chocolate won the World Silver Medal 2014 at the International Chocolate Awards.
