The Inle lamp is directly inspired by the fishing accessory of the Intha people. The Inthas are the iconic fishermen of Inle Lake, a famous Burmese region located 600 km from the capital Yangon. These fishermen are real acrobats, who twirl this large basket at the end of their wooden canoe. They balance on one leg at the end of their unstable boat, and use the other leg to throw their trap.
