In autumn, Canada transforms into a flamboyant landscape where the maple leaves turn bright red. We had come to enjoy this magical season when the cranberries reach maturity and cover the fields. Our curiosity led us to Carol Ann, a young producer near Lake William northeast of Montreal. Having just inherited her farm, she wanted to continue the family tradition. After welcoming us warmly and showing us her fields, she asked us to participate in the day's harvest, which consisted of flooding them to cause the berries to float. We put on rubber boots and set off to collect the floating cranberries in what will remain an experience as fun as it is playful, to the point where we definitely want to create a Carol Ann-approved cranberry marble when we return. Embark for Canada!
