PAPO

figurine, 55062, Acrocanthosaurus

The acrocanthosaurus, of the theropod family, was a large bipedal predator that could measure up to 12 meters in length and weigh 7.2 tons. Its name, which means "high thorns", comes from the spines ending its vertebrae. It is assumed that they allowed to fix long chains of muscles on the back, the hips as well as the neck of the predator. It also had a long, powerful tail that allowed it to counterbalance the head and body as well as small forelegs ideal for catching and holding prey when hunting.
