Heaven's Door Whiskey - Double Barrel

Heaven's Door Double Barrel whiskey is the result of a unique blend of three different whiskeys: two Tennessee whiskeys with a traditional Bourbon brew, and a straight rye whiskey (rye whiskey). Each type of whiskey is aged independently in either new or recently emptied barrels of bourbon, where there are six years left before being all blended and placed in heavily heated American oak barrels for one year. The specific characteristics of our barrels offer sustained aromas of American oak and give our whiskeys a dark and amber color. Heaven's Door Double Barrel whiskey filtered through maple syrup charcoal (the "Lincoln County" process), offering a smooth finish. Heaven's Door Double Barrel has a higher alcohol content allowing the complexity of its aromas to be perfectly balanced. Tasting Notes: The second passage in new strongly heated American oak barrels deepens the aromas of the whiskey and gives it woody and toasted flavors.
