The Fiorillo pasta factory, founded in 2001 by Giuseppe Fiorillo, was initially a small laboratory specialized in the production of fresh pasta.   Over time the company evolved and with the entry into the company of his brother Michele the business was extended to the production of dried pasta.  
The idea behind the whole project was to enhance the "Fileja", the traditional pasta format from the province of Vibo Valentia.   The entrepreneurial project of the pasta factory was not limited only to producing Fileja on a large scale, but aimed above all at fully preserving the organoleptic characteristics, shape and color of handmade pasta.  
To achieve this ambitious objective, meticulous studies were carried out which led to the creation of machines specifically designed to create a production line capable of producing Fileja and a rich variety of pasta shapes with the same care and attention as the process done in hand, avoiding the use of heat treatments with high temperatures which would have altered the final product.  
The result obtained was a high quality pasta with a light colour, rough appearance and the authentic scent of wheat, thus keeping the typical qualities of artisanal pasta intact.   This attention to detail and quality has allowed the pasta factory to offer consumers an authentic and traditional product, faithful to the culinary culture of the province of Vibo Valentia.
