OEKO TEX® CERTIFICATION
Patakès aims to be a caring brand: The origin of our fabrics has been the priority from the start in developing our collections.
All our products are made with fabrics meeting Oeko Tex® certification: Our standard at Oeko-Tex ® is the most demanding: it is standard 100 suitable for childcare.
You will tell me ok but concretely why be Oeko Tex® certified? This ensures that the final product does not contain harmful products or chemicals prohibited in the country of final consumption. The entire production chain, whatever its geographical location, has undergone successive controls to guarantee the absence of dangerous products. This is essential, especially in textiles for babies and their health!
The standards imposed to meet the requirements of standard 100 are today higher than those of R.E.HAS.C.H.
EXCLUSIVE DESIGNS
All our patterns are the result of a collaboration with a designer with whom we have tried to convey to you all the influences that drive us: joy, color, travel, all this without any hassle! You will not find all of our drawings elsewhere because we wanted to avoid this “déjà vu” and standardized look. Patakès therefore offers you a collection with 100% exclusive designs!
Your baby is unique and so are our designs!
ORGANIC COTTON
A good portion of our printed fabrics come from organically grown cotton. But in concrete terms, what does this mean? Cotton from organic farming is more ecological for the planet, but also more ethical. It requires half the water and, above all, it is free of chemicals. Neither chemical fertilizers, nor pesticides, nor genetically modified (or GMO) seeds are authorized. Only natural fertilizer or natural compost are authorized to promote cultivation. This therefore does not pollute the environment, does not exhaust the soil, and is also more respectful of the health of workers.
In summary, it’s good for the planet, producers and consumers (your little ones!!)
FRENCH AND COMMITTED PRODUCTION
Patakès has chosen to have 100% of its collection produced in France, and more precisely in the North, the cradle of the revival of the sector.
More than a fashion effect, it is a real choice and a pride to highlight the know-how of our region (which has been neglected in favor of distant destinations...).
Our production is also as close as possible to its customers and limits the carbon footprint.
Finally and above all, the production of Patakès is done in a reasoned and united way: The tailoring workshop promotes the work of young people and supports them while promoting the local textile activity.
Last thing, all the components (haberdashery, labels, etc.) to make our pretty products come from suppliers within a radius of 80km around us. It is essential for us to work with the utmost know-how.
