Le Vin Orange de Belle-Maman 2022 - Natural Wine - Organic Wine

It is a very fragrant orange wine with a nice bitterness, the aromas evoke an oriental end to a meal with a hot orange blossom drink and honey and rose pastries. We will harvest the grapes at a partner winegrower in Alsace and then bring the grapes in whole bunches to Courbevoie (a suburb of Paris) where they are vinified. We harvest the grapes by hand and then put the crates in the refrigerated trucks. 6h15 drive then arrived in Courbevoie we continue with the vinification. The grapes arrive at 8°C in the cellar. Like a red wine but with white grapes (the maceration wine technique), the grapes are immediately destemmed and crushed then pumped into a stainless steel tank. A cold maceration of 48 hours then the fermentation starts, we do daily pumping over for ten days then we press the grapes and 8 months of aging in vats. We sipped it with a blue-veined goat's cheese from Yvelines, on a background of Portuguese fado from the 80s.
