💭It all starts with Thomas, the founder of PlantJoy.
Coming from a family of butchers, he spent most of his life eating meat. In 2019, with his mother, they set themselves the challenge of not eating meat for 2 weeks.
“These two weeks have completely changed our lives..." he says.
Since then, he has discovered a true passion for plant-based cuisine and decided to make it his career: his first vegan pastry business was launched in Colombia in 2020, alongside his studies 🧁
The plant-based market is booming. We see more and more plant-based products filling our supermarket shelves, but we often ignore the ingredients that make them up...
Upon closer inspection, Tomy realized that the majority of these products were anything but healthy. Lots of additives, preservatives and saturated fats.
For him, a better alternative had to exist...
"I tested in my kitchen for over a year before getting an acceptable result. But despite this, I realized that I would not be able to develop these products alone, and that I would have to surround myself with experts and call on a research laboratory..."
So he decided to launch PlantJoy, the brand of meat alternatives that would change the world. The brand you can trust 🌱
To achieve this, he works with a team of agricultural engineers to develop his products. After several months of research and hard work, PlantJoy products are officially available for sale to the public in April 2024.
