Goby White

It is found in China and covers parts of northwestern China, along with parts of southern Mongolia. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful deserts in all of Asia. The Gobi has one of the most extreme climates in the world. The summer months can reach 50 degrees Celsius, while in the winter months, temperatures can drop below -40 degrees Celsius. It is said to be a cold desert, and you can even experience snowflakes on the desert dunes. In Mongolian, Gobi means "place without water", a very appropriate name considering the low rainfall in the area.
