PIC works by typologies, with an artisan approach, to create useful, simple objects, faithful to their material and their process, with a sculptural presence consistent with a minimalist, single-material approach. Located in the heart of the Cité du Design in Saint Etienne, France; our comprehensive approach to digital manufacturing (we also manufacture our codes and assemble our printers) makes us creative digital artisans.
PIC is restarting local manufacturing in a sustainable way by installing its giant robot which 3D prints furniture and structures, based on recycled car headlights; thus offering re-industrialization on an artisanal scale with a reduced carbon impact.
By exploring the potential of large-format robotic 3D printing, we are uncovering emerging objects (which could not have been created without this manufacturing method). This approach gives rise to a positive proposal for a sustainable, joyful and lively future, where forms develop and appear according to creativity without negative consequences for the planet.
All our objects have a minimum thickness above one centimeter, never achieved with plastics, giving unrivaled strength to our creations.
