Polycarbonate Group

Complete and careful re-writing of the Eames couple's iconic 'Aluminium Group', the office chair, mischievously named "Polycarbonate Group", is a real homage. Immediately familiar by reference, it is nevertheless a creation of burning topicality. Indeed, manufacturing an office chair locally, entirely from recycled materials, is a fundamental challenge. By completely redesigning the chair for digital manufacturing, Guillaume Crédoz reconstructed, line by line (which the robot materializes), the silhouette and tectonics of this now ubiquitous office chair. This rebirth, in a local, recycled and recyclable material, is an event, and an outstretched hand towards a more sustainable future.
