100% pure and natural essential oil obtained by distillation (steam distillation) of the branches and leaves of Myrtus communis. Myrtle is a shrub that grows wild in the dry maquis around the Mediterranean. Its small fragrant white flowers give way to black berries often associated with the goddess of love, Venus-Aphrodite or the crowns of the bride and groom in Greece. Myrtle leaves are harvested from May to September, leaving two-thirds of them on the tree to preserve its productivity.
