★ CORNISH HUNTING TARTAN - BANDANA ★ A beautifully colored Traditional Cornish Hunting Tartan with colors to represent the beauty of the sea and land. Your dog will look very smart, elegant, and classy on walkies in this beautiful print which is also very popular with Royalty. This tartan pattern was designed by Sandra A. Redwood in 1983 as a more subdued version of the bright Cornish National which was created to commemorate the ancient kingdom of Cornwall in South West England. The yellow represents gold for the old Cornish kings, the red represents the beak and legs of the Cornish Cough (type of bird) and the blue represents the sea that surrounds Cornwall. The black and white represents St. Piran's cross which is also represented in the same manner in the Cornish flag. The colors of the Cornwall Hunting are the same and represent the same elements but with the addition of green which is said to represent Cornish Wrestling, a centuries-old form of wrestling. The Cornish Hunting tartan is a more modest tartan in comparison to the Cornish National which has made it a very popular tartan choice. Most clan Tartans primary patterns have very brightly colored tartans, and have hunting tartans which can be worn as an alternative. So the term “hunting” here refers to the fact that these tartans tend to be more mutated in color, and has nothing to do with the current usage of the tartan on Hunts. Please note we do not support modern day Hunting of any kind. I am Cornish myself and I grew up in Falmouth. I have always loved sewing and designing with Cornish Tartan and it was a main feature in my Final Degree Show while Studying a BA Hons in Fashion and Textiles at University. My final degree collection called “Nostalgic Heritage”was highly commended at London Graduate Fashion Week and received more than great praise by designers and stylists! These Bandanas are a tie-on style. They are double-sided for extra quality and these have the same pattern printed on both sides. These have a soft silky feel. These are very cute and comfortable for doggies to wear, but they are not indestructible. Please be advised to remove the bandana before your puppy has very sandy or muddy adventures. They can be gently spot-washed or warm hand-washed when needed. Not recommended for machine washing. Gentle Ironing with a cool iron. Approximate bandana size 40x40x57cm These also look great when twinned with our matching scrunchies, Harnesses, collars, and leads.★CORNISH HUNTING TARTAN - BANDANA ★ A beautifully coloured traditional Cornish hunting tartan with colours representing the beauty of the sea and land.
