We are Dominik and Max, two chemists from Berlin and for a long time we have been wondering why the lists of ingredients on chocolate bars are plastered with hundreds of E-numbers. Or do you know what's behind "E 442, E 476 or E 491"? We asked ourselves, is that necessary?
