In 2016, the company's story began with that of a glass bottle. Having witnessed a first life, Gauthier Decarne decided to give it a second, based on the principle of upcycling. Quickly joined by Victoire, the couple took a seemingly simple idea far and wide: that of cutting a bottle to shape a glass.

Over the years, the duo has drawn inspiration from glass and expanded their collections. From the bottle are thus born objects of use - such as the candlestick, the vase or the table lamp - which combine aesthetics, functionality and durability.

Based in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, the QDB Editions workshop navigates between tradition and innovation. On site, glass artisans perpetuate the know-how of glassmaking and continually push the boundaries of the possibilities offered by the material. Recognized for its technical expertise, the company proudly boasts of having internalized its manufacturing since 2016. Mastering its production tool gives it a certain agility; through it, QDB Editions explores new creative territories every day - both for series productions and in response to tailor-made projects.

Its identity also revolves around publishing creations conceived with designers, architects and craftsmen. From the first sketches to commercialization, QDB Editions maintains an open dialogue with each of them and creates freely according to its encounters.

More than a style, it is the material that guides the teams when they imagine a new creation. From design to manufacturing, glass is valued and always respected. If it is compared with other materials, such as stainless steel for example, it remains the material of choice. When it is exploited, its cuts are naturally optimized to limit material losses.
