It all started in 1828, when Pierre Rampal became master soap maker at the Court-de-Payen soap factory in Marseille. He will pass on to his son and grandson all his know-how and his love of the soap making profession. In 1885, the Rampal family settled in Salon de Provence during the period of the golden age. The know-how was then passed on to Jean-Louis Plot in 2004 and the company innovated by drawing on tradition. A unique know-how of a soap maker respecting the tradition of cooking in a cauldron at low temperature. Our real Marseille soap is extra pure, without any additives, perfumes or dyes based only on 4 ingredients: vegetable oils, water, salt and soda.
