Selected specimens from the Atlantic Ocean, a totally handmade product achieving its particular and admired flavor, are subjected to a careful process of roasting, grilling and packing by hand, later sprinkled with olive oil. Gourmet canned horse in olive oil from Real Conservera are a high quality product. Sample of them was the prize received as the "Best preserve in the world No. 1!" in its category of "Caballitas". These preserves are made with a very limited product and very difficult to obtain, the seahorses that come from inshore fishing on the Atlantic coast. At Real Conservera we purchase the product from the Galician markets and transport it to our facilities to prepare our preserves. Once in our hands, we clean the little horses by hand, roast them on the grill and pack them, one by one, manually. As a result, we offer small-sized whole gutted mackerels coated with olive oil that have a very characteristic texture and flavor. In this sense, we are the only cannery that offers whole packed horse. Once packaged, the preserve will remain in optimum condition for consumption for 6 years. To ensure its durability and good conservation, we recommend that it be stored in a dry place at room temperature until consumption. To consume it, we recommend that it be enjoyed as a starter, alone or combined with a tomato and chive toast. As a pairing, we recommend taking a white wine.
