Organic baobab powder 75g

This African holy tree is often referred to as the “Tree of Life”. Its trunk may measure up to 30 m wide and they may live for up to 3000 years. They only have leaves during the summer, whereas the rest of the year their branches look totally dry. Inside their wood they hold litres of water in order to survive during the long draught months. The fruit of the baobab tree has many benefits to our health. It grows inside a hard shell that grows from the tree. Later on the pulp dries off and it becomes a powder. It dries naturally so it does no require any kind of drying treatment. It has a kind of food that provides energy: the pulp from baobab contains a 75& of carbohydrates (energy source), a 2.3% of proteins and only 0.27% fat. Above all it is a great source of vitamin C, with an average of seven times the amount held in 100 gr of an organic freshly squeezed orange juice. Besides, it is a great source of minerals, so it helps our organism regain energy, and makes it really suitable for people suffering from anemia or low energy levels. It has a sweet and sour taste, it is an excellent complement for some foods and drinks, as for instance yoghourts, juice or milkshakes.
