The founders Arev Karpert and Thorsten Reuter have long been fans of Asian cuisine. With passion and zest for action, the founders managed to outsource sales via well-known supermarket chains in a very short time.
Arev Karpert is a trained cameraman and ran his own film production company for 14 years. Onigri were often a welcome snack for him during the long filming in Asia.
Thorsten Reuter has been enthusiastic about the culture of other countries for years. He is particularly fond of the Asian (eating) culture. In Arev Karpert he found the perfect business partner and with Onigiri the right product to initiate a cultural transfer.
