Silver Needle Tea - White Tea 500 grams

Silver needle tea is a white tea and is mainly grown in China. White tea is a tea that is only 2 percent fermented and is one of the six Chinese tea varieties: green tea, yellow tea, black tea, oolong tea, pu-erh tea, and white tea. Silver needle tea is the highest quality white tea and is one of the finest teas in the world. He only makes approx. 0.1% of China's tea production and was formerly reserved for the emperor and high officials. For this tea, only young buds are picked in spring – nowhere else in the world does this happen except with silver needle tea. To produce 1 kg of ready-to-use tea, approximately 30,000 of the delicate shoots must be harvested by hand. Their silvery-white hairs give this tea its fairytale name. The silver needle tea is delicate, elegant and slightly sweet in taste and has a clear, jade green to light yellow infusion color. It should not boil during preparation, but should be kept at approx. Steep at 70-80 degrees Celsius for two to five minutes. Eight to twelve grams of tea are recommended per liter; multiple infusions are possible. Silver needle tea should always be stored in a cool, dry, airtight and lightproof place. When stored correctly, silver needle tea will last approx. Shelf life 24 months.
