The name of the world is garden

Le nom du monde est jardin takes the garden as a unique and original place, a space open to the rest of the world, capable of facilitating global reflection on one's daily life, one's actions and their coherence, on the meaning to be given to one's life. Since the garden and the plants inhabit us and are part of us, the garden or what it evokes is a source of inspiration and wonder. What is done and takes place there is in close connection with other spheres of our daily lives. It is a mirror of us. If the garden is well, couldn't nature be better, the world too? These round gestures, these respectful practices, these tools and these locally fashioned objects make new gardens, new places of production more human, and nature all around seems to be satisfied with them. The book is divided into 10 chapters, written in a personal, militant and educational way. Each of them presents a set of practices that make sense, a pretext for a more universal reflection. A few line drawings illustrate some of the practices described. A practical notebook with addresses and bibliographical references concludes each chapter.
