Rodez-Mexico City

At the age of thirty, Marco Jublovski lives with his mother in a pavilion in the industrial and commercial zone of Grand Rodez, where he works as a municipal agent in the maintenance of green spaces. His only pleasure in a daily life where apathy competes with boredom, is his band of friends – the same ones since childhood. One morning, after a party on the Larzac, Marco discovers the existence of Subcomandante Marcos and the Neo-Zapatistas. The feeling of having met his double overwhelms him. Overnight, he became passionate about revolutionary thought and Mexico. By a kind of strange coincidence, this is the moment that the public authorities choose to launch an expropriation procedure in the name of the development of Grand Rodez. Inspired by the struggle of the peasants of Chiapas and the great Mexican myths such as Emiliano Zapata and Pancho Villa, Marco is determined to resist. With the insurgent sub-commander Marco from Rodez: peri-urban France has found its Don Quixote!
