It is an important centre for nomadic carpets and many former nomads are now settled there. Nevertheless, the carpets are made using traditional techniques, designs, colors and sizes. A common design is a hexagon decorated with hooks as a tier or individual embellishment. Many smaller traditional motifs are spread across the background. Warm red, brown, dark blue and black are the main colors.
