The Cold Saponification (S.A.F.) method is used to make Ozon Soap. This ancestral method consists of mixing oils with soda at room temperature to obtain soap and glycerin. To make the soap even softer, each Savon de l’Ozon is enriched with vegetable oil which is not saponified, resulting in a superfatted soap.
The ingredients have been selected with great care, favoring local players as well as organic ingredients. Being from Lapalisse in Allier, I work with Huilerie de Lapalisse which perfumed my childhood by perfuming the village during the days when walnut or hazelnut oil was made. These two oils have recognized benefits for the skin and are used in the majority of my natural cosmetic products.
All natural cosmetic products from Savonnerie de l’Ozon are entirely handmade in Communay, limiting the impact on the planet as much as possible. The manufacturing methods used consume little energy and generate very little waste.
We have treasures in our garden (nettle, rosemary, etc.), which is why plants from the Savonnerie garden are used in several soaps. Raw materials come from local suppliers, the nearest is 1km away and most are within a 180km radius.
Each ingredient was the subject of careful research in order to select it in organic quality whenever it was available. La Savonnerie de l'Ozon has received the Slow Cosmétique label, a label awarded to companies manufacturing Responsible, Ecological, Intelligent and Healthy cosmetics.
