Origins & Foundation
La Savonnerie de Bormes was founded in 1986, in Bormes-les-Mimosas, Provence, by the sea.
We are a family-run business that manufactures all of its products locally in our workshops located in Bormes-les-Mimosas.
The initial idea was born from two people passionate about perfumes, colors and textures, who wanted to create vegetable soaps respecting tradition but introducing innovative processes.
Philosophy, expertise, and product range
We are committed to the quality of our ingredients and authenticity, and we strive to offer simple, "close to natural" formulas.
We offer a wide range of products:
• Plant-based soaps (plant-based, sweet almond, orange blossom, jasmine, lavender, seaweed, etc.))
Shower whipped cream! The first in France to have developed this product
• Shower gels, body lotions and oils
• Room fragrances, pillow mists, scented pearls, essential oil lotions
• Surprisingly original recipes such as "tomato leaf", "coffee", "cinnamon-orange" soap, etc.
We highlight processes inspired by ancestral traditions, sometimes derived from “old recipes from our grandmothers”.
We also advocate an environmentally friendly approach: the use of recyclable materials, formulas without parabens and without endocrine disruptors such as phenoxyethanol, and an awareness of our responsibilities.
