La Fabrik’ à Bulles is a small Breton soap factory that wants to be artisanal and ecological. We manufacture organic, artisanal and cold saponified soaps (SAF), natural cosmetics, solid shampoos, deodorant balms, body balms as well as ecological cleaning products (solid dishes) The company, located in Brittany on the commune of Saint Aubin Du Cormier (35), was created in 2018.

At La Fabrik'à Bulles, we make...

Organic soaps, made in an artisanal cold saponified way (SAF), natural cosmetics, solid shampoos, deodorant balms, body balms as well as ecological cleaning products (solid dishes, clay stone, etc.)

And because we truly believe that our daily actions shape the planet of tomorrow:

– All our raw materials come from organic farming (as soon as possible of course! Clay, for example, cannot be certified organic) and are selected for their qualities and their richness in active ingredients;

– short-circuit purchases directly from producers are preferred as soon as possible (e.g. organic olive oil comes from Antonio Rey in Tarragona);

– all of our production is carried out by hand and locally in our laboratory located in Saint Aubin Du Cormier (35);

The products we manufacture are formulated to have the maximum benefit for the health of consumers and the minimum environmental impact...

We believe in a zero-waste lifestyle, that's why the packaging of our products is made with the most ecological packaging possible (100% compostable, 100% recyclable) and we think about having as little as possible, and this throughout the entire production chain;

– Our products are distributed in alternative networks to that of large retailers and we are proud of them: bulk grocery stores, zero-waste drugstores, producer stores, consumer groups, AMAP, associative grocery stores, pharmacies, etc.

Once upon a time...

It was officially in March 2018 that the story of La Fabrik’à Bulle began with my entry into the Élan Créateur Activity and Employment Cooperative (CAE) located in Rennes. For more than two years (including a pregnancy!), I have been supporting this project to create a range of ecological cosmetic and maintenance products... So I joined the CAE, accompanied by other project leaders and made myself support in the world of entrepreneurship... This is the beginning, the time when the VAT rate was still an enigma, when the first production laboratory was made from recycled materials in the back kitchen of the house, and where the world of craftsmanship was still very mysterious! At those times, we were far from imagining what awaited us for the future...
Because the idea of creating La Fabrik’à Bulles was really spontaneous! A decision taken at a time when life is putting us in difficulty... A fire that destroys everything we own, which sets the counters to zero, and brings us back to the essentials. Exciting scientific studies, which culminate in obtaining a doctorate degree in cellular and molecular biology: success, passion, but... what do I really want next?

A fire that destroys everything we own, which sets the counters to zero, and brings us back to the essentials. Exciting scientific studies, which culminate in obtaining a doctorate degree in cellular and molecular biology: success, passion, but... what do I really want next?

Although at this time I continue to inform myself about the continuation of my career as a researcher (with the possible desire to integrate a research team working on endometriosis), I register for a training around the practical aromatherapy provided by the school of herbalism of Brittany (Cap-Santé). And this is once again a key step where everything is aligned: I find at this moment the emotion that agitates me when I learn, when I discover new subjects, with references in the field... that's all simply scientific, rigorous and exciting! Everything that I love and that animates me!

So I listened, I researched, I experimented, I formulated... many everyday products that I shared with our loved ones... And in view of the wonderful feedback, that's where the idea came from. was born: what if that's what I really want to do in my life? Bring well-being (or better-being) to others, through the manufacture of useful everyday products, crafts and respectful of the environment. While contributing my knowledge and expertise to obtain the best plant combinations to meet the specific needs of all skin types!

Today La Fabrik’à Bulles is a family business since Kevin and I work there (more than!) full time. The products we manufacture are present in many partner shops and our customers renew their trust in us every day...

We were also lucky enough to be able to invest in the farmhouse located just in front of our house to house our production laboratory, and house our shop dedicated to natural well-being. Although we left the cooperative to strike out on our own, we continue our collective adventure by working alongside committed and passionate producers and talented creators who share our convictions.

Over time, our range of products grows, becoming more and more technical and more and more specific. Kevin has put all his skills into carrying out a huge sourcing job in order to supply our raw materials directly from producers (short circuit) and by choosing not price, but quality and appearance. united and fair. We are also proud that our work has been recognized by the Nature&Progrès association.

We continue to perfect ourselves every day by continuing to learn about this vast field of herbalism and by studying the mechanisms at the molecular and cellular level (you see, the circle is complete!). For my part, I trained in naturopathy, specializing in the field of dermatology. Workshops are planned, because the sharing of knowledge is essential and necessary so that all together, we can reclaim what nature offers us...
