As a Mum of two, family beach holidays always resulted in tears, tantrums and me being extremely frustrated! My daughter who has sensitive skin hated the feeling of the sand. It really irritated her skin especially between her toes and fingers, spending most of her time and mine trying to remove it!
Nothing we tried was easy or painless! Towelling was sore and scratchy, Running and filling buckets of water was exhausting and time consuming. Personally, talc was never an option for us. Don’t get me started on the beach dance of standing on one foot to get clean feet into shoes. Snack time was something covered in sand, gritty mouths and a cooler bag full of sand! I’m sure you can relate? All this before daddy was shouting about the amount of sand in the car!!
