Schleich, a German company renowned for its high quality figurines, was founded in 1935 by Friedrich Schleich. The vision of a child becoming an adult with a dream marked the beginning of this remarkable story.
Schleich's innovative journey began in 1950, with the presentation of its first flexible plastic figurines. This commitment to flexibility and durability has laid the foundation for the brand's popularity.
In 1960, Schleich's global recognition gained new momentum with the launch of the first The Smurfs™ collection. These iconic figurines, which have charmed the world, have cemented Schleich's reputation as a leader in the field of collectible toys.
In the 1990s, the company continued to expand its offer with the launch of new collections such as "the universe of nature", "the universe of history" and "the fantastic universe". These ranges have shown Schleich's ability to diversify and adapt to the varied interests of its customers.
Starting in the 1980s and increasingly over the years, Schleich began to produce animal figurines. Faithfully recreating the animal world on a reduced scale, Schleich has succeeded in reproducing universes as varied as that of extinct dinosaurs or contemporary farm animals. Notably, they have reproduced almost 200 breeds of horses, ponies, foals, thus adding to their varied range.
In 2012, the company took a step further into the fantasy world with the launch of the BAYALA® range, which includes unicorn and elf figurines. This new world of play has given children new opportunities to explore their creativity and imagination.
In 2016, Schleich introduced six new play worlds, complete with play sets, to give children more space to play and tell their own stories.
