Shade Mix Seedball Hanging Pack

Each hanging pack contains 12 seed balls, enough to cover 1 metre square in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball). Each ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mixture of Bellflower, Forget-me-not, Meadow buttercup, Meadowsweet, Oxeye daisy, Ragged robin and Red campion. Best scattered in Spring or Autumn. A mix of British native wildflowers that are ideal for shadier areas of your garden and balcony. While these will struggle in total shade (as would all flowers!), this mix is designed for spots which receive only dappled sun or sun for just one part of the day (although will grow equally well in areas of full sun). We make the seed balls ourselves from our HQ in North London - from a mixture of UK native wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The clay protects the seeds from wildlife, and once water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside will germinate, helped along by nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder deters slugs and snails while the seed ball degrades and and the seeds sprout. All wildflowers are listed by the RHS as 'Plants for Pollinators'.
