A group of promising young designers from Bilbao discovered by BIAAF through its international fashion design competition.
SEI has created this capsule collection for BIAAF reinterpreting their common roots and traditions, paying homage to the Basque Cultural Heritage, from popular costumes to such universal artists as Ignacio Zuloaga, Valentín de Zubiaurre, Aurelio Arteta or José Arrué, without forgetting the great Master, Cristóbal Balenciaga, born in the small coastal town of Getaria.
From the color palette to the crafts and materials, these young designers have investigated the reality of the popular costume to decontextualize it from its space-time coordinates and transport it to the forefront of the emerging international scene.
As a result, SEI has managed to highlight its roots and common cultural heritage by transforming them into a timeless fashion collection.
