Organic black chia seeds - France - 500 g

Monca variety, produced and bagged in France. Vegan and gluten-free superfood particularly rich in omega-3s, proteins, antioxidants and fibres, chia seeds are an excellent egg substitute, especially in baking. When placed in liquid, chia absorbs up to twelve times its weight, giving it a gel-like texture (mucilage) which then acts as a binder. Otherwise, it can be eaten in salads, smoothies, and of course in the famous chia pudding!
